How Ironic...
That the weather would be perfect today, and I am stuck working in a boutique! I envision myself in a hot bikini, with a fabulous hat, laying out at the Plaza pool...It only makes me more upset though! Granted I am surrounded by beautiful clothes, but who cares? I want to be galavanting about town, laughing, having drinks, enjoying laugh. I feel so disconnected from that part of myself lately. Where did my network of friends go?
I really need a haircut too. Random segue, but you know when your hair gets to that point where it just isn't holding the way you like it too? That is where I am it. It needs a tune up! From there, things will roll smoothly, and I will be happier!
There is so much to be happy for, but there is also SO much that can get you down. I read about all the tragedies world wide, and my issues seem so trivial. How can I complain about such meager things, when people are suffering at every corner. My heart breaks when I think about the beautiful young USC student that was killed by a hit and run driver. She was barely 19, and she felt invincible, full of hope and innocence. How could someone take that from her? Now, the suspect arrested, turns out to be a mother of a small child, which makes it even more disgusting. My thoughts and prayers are with that sweet girl and her family.
On a lighter note, I got my nails done yesterday, and I picked up the Victoria's Secret catalog, they have amazing bikinis for under 40$ I am going to oder at least 4, and be set for the summer! I need a few basics, like a black and white, mix in a print and a cool one piece, and I am done. Typically one bikini is about 200$, so excited to get 4 for the price if one!

My favorite things today
I am really feeling the Gap! In the past, I have endured a love/hate with this clothing giant, but now, they have really made me come around. Perfect boyfriend jeans, crisp boot cut white denim, and the sexiest cut-off mini jean shorts, are just a few things I picked up yesterday. Not forgetting the amazing, oatmeal colored, oversize cardigan, on sale for 30$, and an insane zip-up sweater, that most people have mistaken for a Mike&Chris piece! I highly recommend the Gap for great jeans and sweaters right now. U can get several key pieces for spring, for under $300.
Simply put, I just want to live in their jeans. The relaxed fit, soft cotton, and just the right amount of rips, make for the ideal stylish pair! I'm pairing up my jeans (worn extra loose, rolled at the bottom), with a dark brown, braided leather belt, oversize pinstripe button down shirt, and the oatmeal cardigan. Need not we forget my accessories, a fabulous pair of grey suede YSL oxford pumps, Valentino histoire bag, and Tom Ford "whitney" shades in navy blue. I just love my look today, it's sexy without trying, comfortable, and looks great in any scenario!
Can I just get dressed every day for a living? I would be rich!
